First to receive ISO 22000 food safety certification By Saudi Readymix



ISO 22000 is a food safety certification. Food-borne hazards in food are linked with food safety consumption. food safety hazards is occured any stage in the food chain. So it is essential to control them. Therefore, a combined effort of all parties through the food chain is required.

In obtaining these certificates Saudi Readymix is not only raising its own Health and Safety standards, but those of region as well. Catering companies working for Saudi Readymix must operate according to ISO 22000 standards or be overlooked as suppliers.

"Our greatest asset is our employees," said Salam Abduljabbar, Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager at Saudi Readymix. "Laborers being the majority of them. Our aim is not to ensure that they receive food and accommodation, but rather nourishment, security and ease of mind."

This is not the first program or initiative taken up by Saudi Readymix to improve and ensure overall health and safety. The company has several ISO and OSHA certificates for its factories and staff as well. The Company has recently received ISO 18000 certification for four of its factories earlier this year and plans to have all its commercial locations certified before year end.

Saudi Readymix is the leading producer and supplier of concrete in Saudi Arabia. The company employs over 3,100 staff and operates 30 commercial and on-site ready-mixed concrete factories throughout the Kingdom, all of which meet the strictest of operating standards.
